It’s February, 2020 — Mike secured a table at a crowded bar, and Chelsea is 30 minutes late.

What started as a first date turned into hours of non-stop convos, laughs, and bar hopping downtown. The date concluded with a nightcap at The Village Tavern in the West Village and goodbyes outside 32 Leroy Street. Five years after that first date, Mike brought Chelsea back to Leroy to ask her to marry him on the sidewalk where it all began.

From that first downtown date to the many that followed, Mike and Chelsea would soon realize that they are truly each other’s better half. Often joking that they “share a brain”, they’re always on the same wavelength, have the same crazy ideas, and always seems to know what the other is really thinking.

Though they clearly have much in common, like their sense of humor, love of food, and vocal volume, they have grown and learned so much from the other. Aside from Mike learning to love sushi and Chelsea learning to love wings, they’ve learned how to show up in the hard moments, how to always encourage the other to swing big, and how to parent a reactive corgi.

As they embark on a new journey, they’re excited to carry the love, laughs, and many more late nights into their future adventures.
